PRICES
We charge a base rate of $15.00 per visit for a 20-30 minute visit to a household with one to four pets. Larger groups of pets, or a longer time request, result in a higher per visit base rate. Introductory visits are free if you are booking and paying for at least three visits at the time of the introductory visit. However, if you are not booking and paying for at least three visits, the charge for the introductory visit is $25.

Plus Gas Surcharge:
When gasoline prices started to rise in 2007, we added a gasoline surcharge, rather than raise rates. That way it's fair to all of us, and the additional money goes directly to the pet sitter. The gas surcharge works like this:
Regular Gas Price near your home Additional Fee Per Visit
$2.00 to $2.50 per gallon = $1.00 extra per visit
$2.50 to $3.00 per gallon = $2.00 extra per visit
$3.00 to $3.50 per gallon = $3.00 extra per visit
$3.50 to $4.00 per gallon = $4.00 extra per visit
$4.00 to $4.50 per gallon = $5.00 extra per visit
We hope it never gets above this, but who knows; the pattern continues as needed.
This gasoline surcharge is for your pet sitter, to reimburse gasoline costs. If you could give your sitter cash for this fee, it would allow her to use it immediately for gas. However, if cash is inconvenient, feel free to include this surcharge in your check made to Daystar Pets; we will make sure your sitter gets the entire amount of the gas surcharge.

Call us first to let us know you are sending the money through PayPal . We will confirm that we have receieved your payment. Just set up a PayPal account for yourself, if you don't have one, and then tell them to "Send Money" to my e-mail address: CherieSmith@hotmail.com. In the "FOR" space, mark Services. It's easy and safe. This is the only way we accept credit card payments.
