When To Use Pet Sitting?
Pet Sitting is an alternative to kenneling your pets, where they stay at home and are visited by an experienced, adult care giver.
What The Pet Sitter Will Do:
Feed and water all of your pets
Walk or play in the yard with your dogs
Scoop kitty litter each visit
Care for any caged pets
Care for any farm animals
Bring in mail and paper, change blinds, water plants
Otherwise care for your home and animals
Call A Pet Sitter When:
You work all day and have to leave a dog at home alone - see our Mid-Day Walk Page
You are on a vacation or business trip and must leave the pets at home
You are ill and can't care for your pets yourself
You are working late and need pet care
You have an emergency trip and need to leave the pets at home.
What Does Pet Sitting Cost?
Our base rate is $15 per visit for up to four pets in your household, for a 20 to 30 minute visit.
A Gas Surcharge is added for regular gas prices above $2.00/gallon
Regular Gas Price Gas Surcharge Per Visit
$2.00 to $2.75 $1.00
$2.75 to $3.50 $2.00
$3.50 to $4.25 $3.00
$4.25 to $5.00 $4.00
A larger group of animals, or additional time required to care for your animals, incurs an additional charge.
Please pay the pet sitter the gas surcharge in cash or a separate check so she can put the money in her gas tank. Write the check for the $15 per visit to Daystar Pets. Thanks very much.
